HOW TO IRON SILK

WHEN WASHING IS DONE YOU CAN IRON THE SILK PRODUCT AT THE LOWEST LEVEL POSSIBLE. SILK BEST GETS PRESSED, WHEN IT’S DAMP. FOR THIS REASON, YOU CAN JUST START IRONING RIGHT AFTER YOU WASHED THE SILK AND PRESSED OUT THE ACCESS WATER. THE DRYER THE SILK IS, THE HIGHER THE HEAT LEVEL MUST BE. INSTEAD OF DAMP YOU CAN ALSO USE A WET TOWEL AND PLACE IT IN BETWEEN THE FLAT IRON AND SILK MATERIAL. IN THIS CASE YOU MUST TURN UP THE HEAT LEVEL IN ORDER TO GET A GOOD RESULT.

PLEASE NOTE

PLEASE MAKE SURE THE FLAT IRON YOU USE IS CLEAN AT THE BUTTOM SIDE TO PREVENT THE SILK FROM BEING STAINED. USUALLY THESE KIND OF STAINS CAN NOT BE REMOVED.

IT’S BETTER NOT TO SPRAY WATER ONTO THE SILK – BETTER USE DAMP. THIS COUNTS ESPECIALLY FOR DYED SILK, WHICH GETS UNREMOVABLE WATER SPOTS EASILY.

PLEASE DONT REST THE FLAT IRON AT ONE PLACE OF THE MATERIAL FOR TOO LONG. DUE TO THE FACT, THAT IT CONSISTS OF PROTEINS IT CAN BURN FAST.
